The Happiness Survey

Happiness is a universal concept. Subjective though it is, its centrality to human life is beyond doubt. No wonder, many national governments are now looking beyond GDP and using Gross National Happiness Surveys to find out if all’s well with their citizens.

Happiness Surveys can be very illuminating. From shedding light on the human psyche to evaluating the effectiveness of public policy, they can be useful in many ways. Most important, they help construe the essence of the concept of happiness.
